Education

Adult and further education

You may benefit from a wide number of courses available in English (or if you speak this - Bulgarian or Russian). There are over 30 universities in Bulgaria in addition to a large number of further education courses. Several of them (such as Sofia University and the American University in Bulgaria offer courses entirely or partially in English. Both foreigners and Bulgarians need to pay for higher education courses. The fees are however not high and the quality of education compares very well, especially in fields such as architecture, medicine and dentistry and engineering, in which the country continues to be a recipient of overseas students.

Further education courses (such as art classes at Sofia's Academy of Art or the music classes in the Conservatoire are particularly good as well.
